Fannie Mae expands online sales

by admin on February 13, 2012

Fannie Mae, which began a pilot program in Detroit in 2010 to take offers for Fannie Mae owned homes online, has decided to roll the program out nationwide.

Through it’s HomePath program, agents can now submit offers on behalf of their clients online, get online confirmation and track the status of their offers thru the HomePath.com website.

It is Fannie Mae’s belief that collecting offers online will provide greater transparency for both home buyers and agents.  The new web platform will make it easier to sell properties directly to owner occupants, which is a strong factor in stabilizing neighborhoods nationwide.
