Getting Started

Welcome to the Real Estate One Family of Companies

Whether you’re brand new to the business or joining us from another company, the information below will guide you through the process of setting up your email alias, personal website and online and social networking profiles. It will also introduce you to our company intranet, OurOnePlace.net and all of the great tools available in OnePlace. If you have any questions while working through the set up process, feel free to contact the Real Estate One IT Department Help Desk or me directly.

1. Schedule MLS Training

The MLS is the most valuable tool in a real estate sales associate’s tool box. Learn how to use it effectively by attending the training provided at your local MLS or board office.

2. Set Up Email Alias

Real Estate One provides an email alias to all of it’s sales associates. You may receive an @realestateone.com, @maxbroock.com or an @johnstoneandjohnstone.com email address that can be used to alias your existing email address.

To set up an email alias, send an email request to

alias [at] realestateone [dot] com

that contains the email address that you would like the alias to forward to and what you would like your email address to be. It must be a combination of your first and last name or initials.

“An email alias is not an actual email account.”

An email alias is not an actual email account; it just forwards all messages to your existing email account. You will still need to have an actual email account to use an alias.

3. Introducing OurOnePlace.net

OurOnePlace.net is our company intranet. Check out the video below for a quick overview.

4. Set Up Your OnePlace Agent Website

As soon as we receive your license information from the state or your license has been transferred to us, we create a company profile and launch a OnePlace Agent Website  for you.  This site is launched with only your basic contact information. It’s important that you take the time to update this information as soon as possible. Your agent profile and a link to your web site are displayed on all of your listings and on your agent bio page.  Your Agent Bio Page is immediately accessible through the Agent Search on all of the main company websites as soon as your license has been processed. The video and PDF tutorial link below will take you step by step through the process of setting up your site and updating your agent profile and bio page.
